Chronic plantar fasciopathy can be treated efficiently with radial shock wave therapy, which can be administered to outpatients without having to reccur to anesthesia. This randomized controlled trial aims at demonstrating therapeutic superiority vs. placebo.

La terapia con ondas de choque extracorpóreas (ESWT) es una modalidad de tratamiento bien investigada y utilizada habitualmente para remediar diversos trastornos musculoesqueléticos. La combinación del tratamiento con láser de alta potencia de 905 nm y la ESWT puede aumentar el uso beneficioso de la ESWT en medicina física y de rehabilitación.
